xploreUX Consultancy Firm was born from a profound passion for creating delightful product experiences. My name is Dr. Obruche Orugbo, PhD. The founder of xploreUX, I was inspired by the intuitive design of the iPod, where the simple act of rotating a wheel to scan through hundreds of songs sparked a fascination has channeled this inspiration into a career dedicated to User Experience design.

This journey began in Nigeria, where I pursued a robust education in computer science at a polytechnic, obtaining both an ND and HND in the field.

During these studies, a pivotal course in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) provided foundational skills in web application development. A significant milestone was achieved with the development of a website for the polytechnic as a final year project.

Further immersion into programming through a Visual Basic Programming course honed my skills in coding, application development, and meticulous testing to ensure bug-free software. This hands-on experience solidified a lifelong commitment to the field.

Upon transitioning to the UK, I embarked on a course in Applied Business Computing, with a specialisation in User Experience (UX) design. This specialisation ignited a new passion and area of expertise for me.

The course focused on helping businesses leverage computers to improve their products and services, particularly through the transformation of legacy systems into modern, cutting-edge technology that meets user needs.

Driven by a desire to excel and lead in this field, I completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Information Technology Management. During my studies, I gained valuable knowledge on how to collect data, transform it into actionable information, and ultimately leverage that information to generate knowledge that serves as a key enabler for business success.

This was followed by a PhD in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). This advanced academic degree signifies in-depth knowledge of how people interact with technology. My PhD encompasses a deeper study into psychology, design principles, and computer science to understand user behavior and design interfaces that are intuitive, efficient, and enjoyable.
